About Us

Hi! I'm Janelle, and I'm a one-woman maker here! I started soaping in early 2018. I live in Greensburg, PA with my little family. When I'm not making a soapy mess at my station, I'm probably reading a good book.

We also like going on family adventures to new places.

I'm super awkward around new people and always feel like I'm rambling. So, if you meet me at a market or picking up an order, I apologize in advance.

I get asked a lot what made me want to start a soap business, which reply... I honestly don't know. It sounded fun, and it was something I didn't even know a lot of people did. My husband convinced me to dive into it, instead of buying just enough to make one loaf to see if I would even enjoy it. Luckily I did enjoy it, and still enjoy it every day.

Growing up I wanted to be a pastry chef, but I didn't realize how much soaping is like baking until I started stealing all of the kitchen utensils for soap use. (Janelle did you take the spatula? Oops yeah sorry...don't use that for food anymore.) It's kind of like baking, just you can't eat the batter.

Besides soap bars, I love making whipped soap and, to my surprise, bath bombs (after a 2-year bad relationship with making them).

I love doing what I do, and thanks to all of you, I can!

About our business name:

I named this little business after my grandma, Betty Jane. While my grandma didn't make soap (that know of), she made a lot of homemade things. When deciding on naming my business after her, I asked my mom if she had her signature anywhere that could use for a logo, she found one in her Bible and sent it to me. I wish she was here to see everything; I know she'd be so proud of me, and probably a little giddy to see her signature on everything!
